Sheets in their own windows — Go Live, Add Source, Filters and Streams now open as windows of their own. Drag one by its header to put it anywhere, even on another screen. Filters and Streams can be resized.
Type exact values — Every slider in the Edit panel and Filters has a number box. Type a value, or use ↑/↓ to nudge it (⇧ for 10×). Drag a slider's name to scrub, and double-click it to reset.
Mic delay — If your voice arrives ahead of your camera, you can now hold it back to match. Every microphone in the Audio panel has a Mic delay row. Click the gear to open a slider (5 ms steps), or type an exact number.
Mirror a layer — Layers can now be flipped left to right.
Two new layouts
Framed — Your camera on a rounded card inside the margins (a 4:5 portrait card on vertical).
Close-up — A round close-up of your camera in the middle of the backdrop.
New vertical layouts — Every layout on the vertical (9:16) canvas now has its own arrangement:
Screen + bubble — Your screen on a card, with a round camera bubble over its bottom-right corner.
Spotlight — A large round camera up top, with your screen underneath.
Two up / Two up inverted — Your screen and your camera's full wide shot on two cards of the same size.
Audio processing from the right-click menu — Right-click an audio row to change Echo Cancellation (Auto / On / Off), Reduce Background Noise, and Voice Processing (high-pass, compressor, leveler).
See which mic is in use — Each audio row now shows the name of the microphone it's listening to, so you don't have to open the row to check.

🎨 Improvements
Edit layers anytime — You can now click, drag, and resize layers directly on the preview, even while recording or live. You no longer need to open the Edit panel. Outlines and handles only show while your pointer is over the canvas, so the picture stays clean.
Cameras always sit in front of screens — In every layout, your camera now stays on top of a screen share.
Faster tab switching — The Studio stays loaded when you switch to another tab, so coming back is instant. Its preview pauses while it's hidden to save power.
Refreshed chat overlay — On-screen chat messages have updated colors and structure.
No automatic file splitting by default — Recordings are no longer split into separate files unless you turn it on.
🐛 Fixes
Pressing Delete outside the Edit panel no longer removes a layer from the stream by accident.
Pressing Esc on another tab no longer triggers actions in the Studio.
Typing on other tabs no longer goes into the hidden Studio chat box.
Live stats now only show while you're on the Studio tab.
🧹 Removed
The Mixer and Stats views have been removed. Use the Audio panel for volume, mute, and monitoring.
The master fader, headphone level, and recording-track settings could only be changed from the Mixer. Because the Mixer is gone, those settings are reset to their defaults (unity gain, track 1), so a level saved there can't get stuck. Your per-source volume, mute, and monitoring settings are kept.
Paid-only chat filter. The Live chat panel has a new Paid toggle. Turn it on to see only paid messages (YouTube Super Chats and Super Stickers, and Twitch Bits), so you never miss a supporter during a busy stream. It works together with the All / YouTube / Twitch filter.
Camera LUTs. You can now apply a 3D LUT (.cube file) to any camera from the Filters sheet. Set the strength with the Amount slider, or turn it on and off without removing it. The grade belongs to the camera, so it shows up in every layout and on the vertical canvas too. If you move the LUT file, the app tells you and lets you find it again with Locate File….

Improved
Chat stays still while you read it. When you scroll up or move the pointer over the chat, the list now holds exactly what's on screen, even during a flood of messages. Messages no longer slide out from under the one you're reading or about to put on stream. A "N new messages" pill shows how many arrived, and clicking it takes you back to the newest. Deleted and hidden messages are still removed right away.
Smoother scrolling in busy chats. Fast-moving chat now scrolls without animation sooner (above about two messages a second), which gets rid of the wobble when messages arrive quickly.
Clearer subscription status. If your subscription is cancelled or your trial is ending, the Account settings badge now says ENDING instead of ACTIVE. The billing page shows the exact date your access continues until.
Fixed
You keep the time you've paid for when you cancel through your bank. Previously, revoking your UPI mandate or e-mandate could end your plan right away. Now it works just like cancelling from the dashboard: your plan stays active until the end of the period you already paid for (or the end of your trial), and it won't renew.
Faster, more reliable billing pages. Plan and billing information now loads straight from your account, without waiting on the payment provider each time. Plan changes after checkout still show up automatically once the payment is confirmed.

Improved
More reliable live chat connection. Chat now handles large chat histories more efficiently and copes better with slow or unstable connections, so messages are less likely to stall or arrive out of order.
Chat no longer stops partway through a stream. Vidyst was using up its daily YouTube allowance far faster than it needed to, and once that ran out, live chat and the stats strip stopped working for the rest of the day. The biggest cause was the stats refresher, which could keep running after a stream ended.
Chat recovers properly after a YouTube error. It now backs off and retries instead of retrying on a fixed timer, and stops cleanly when YouTube says chat has ended rather than retrying something that cannot succeed.

Improved
Busy chats stay smooth. Streams with very heavy chat no longer make the app stutter: messages are processed off the interface, and memory now stays flat through a long broadcast instead of slowly climbing.
Live stats cost much less. Viewer count and likes refresh every minute, and the subscriber count every five minutes and only while the stats strip is on screen.
Quieter chats check in less often, and if the daily allowance does start running low, Vidyst slows its stats down to keep chat itself working rather than cutting out.
Profile pictures load more sensibly in fast-moving chat — they are fetched as messages appear rather than all at once.
Guests stay in step with their own voice. Their picture is now paced on their camera's own clock, and camera and microphone travel together, so lips match the voice instead of drifting apart.
Smoother with several guests on. Decoding and colour conversion no longer wait on each other, so each guest's picture arrives on its own schedule.
Guests aren't stepped down for just joining. A camera that has only just been staged is given time to settle before its quality is judged.
Sharper screen shares. Vidyst now measures what a guest's screen share actually manages against what it asked for, so soft text can be told apart from a slow uplink.
Smarter install, Updates itself when you come back and more
Stream Deck plugin
Smarter install: Settings → Stream Deck now checks for the Elgato Stream Deck app before offering the plugin. If the app isn't installed, or is older than 7.1, you get a Get Stream Deck button instead of a plugin file macOS can't open.
Updates itself when you come back: after you install or update Stream Deck, the settings row updates as soon as you return to Vidyst. No restart needed.
Clearer errors: if the plugin can't be opened, the reason is shown right in the row.

A redesigned host bar
One tidy dock: the controls under the canvas in Dynamic layouts now sit in a single dock. The mic, camera and screen-share controls are all the same height and line up.
Share screen comes first: it's now the main button in the dock, highlighted while you're sharing. A new Stop button ends sharing in one click.
Share from any layout: picking a screen in Everyone or Guests, which don't show screens, switches you to Auto so your screen actually appears.
Device names don't move things: long mic and camera names get shortened in the middle instead of stretching the dock. A device that isn't working shows an amber badge on its icon.
Default microphone is now an option in the mic menu.
Capture warnings stay put: the "Couldn't capture…" warning now sits under the dock, so it no longer shifts your buttons.
More stable guest video calls
No more frozen guests: when a guest's internet can't keep up with their best video quality, Vidyst switches to the quality they can actually send instead of freezing on a still picture. Every so often it tries higher quality again, backing off more each time if their connection still can't handle it.
Sharper guest cameras: guests on a computer now send up to 1080p, and guests on a phone send up to 720p.
Streaming and guests share your upload better: while you're live, your camera to guests is held a little lower so the stream and the call don't fight over your internet connection.
